MICHAEL'S WORK Painting for almost two decades, much of Michael's work involves the interaction between individuals dealing with the abundance of information we process on a daily basis. Using acrylics and india ink on canvas to create an abstract work that visually represents information and data in its raw form, to focus on the basis of interaction between the viewer and the "abstract" conversation that is taking place.
Michael & Jaime frequently work on combined pieces, where both artists share the canvas and create a single work in collaboration.
JAIME'S WORK Jaime began her art career painting a series of doors with heavy emotional context. She uses collage, artifacts, acrylics, wood, clay, and various forms of media to present conflict in a series of stunning visuals. Frequent topics of her work revolve around human interaction with the natural world, both positively and negatively. Jaime has been painting since she can remember, emerging professionally into the “Re-Modernism” scene in the early part of the decade. Optimistic is not a word usually associated with modern art. Jaime Foster appears to be a major frontrunner attempting to introduce the concept of fun back into the art world.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT "My inspiration is drawn from deep emotion: concerns for the environment and the welfare of our planet. Nature is my vehicle for my creation. I hope that my art, can be a positive force capable of creating a greater ecological awareness for the world. When beginning a new work of art I don’t usually know beforehand what my subject will be. I believe this approach keeps my work technically raw and honest."
